This Saturday, Kari and I appraised at a Destination Imagination (DI) tournament. DI is a cool international program where school-aged kids work as a team for several months, without adult help, with a limited budget ($125-175, depending on the problem), to solve one of five challenges. The challenge all include a theatrical solution presentation, but the challenges vary greatly in terms of how much emphasis is place on technical vs. theatrical content.

At the right is our first new bloom of Spring. The new life is inspiring.

I remember competing in a DI tournament in middle school! aahh the memories! I don't remember getting to wear such cool hats, though! :)
The flower is beautiful. Can you come plant some in our front yard? The cool temps killed a lot of our plants including the huge bougainvillea that spread over part of the roof.

You guys are so fun. How do you even get involved in DI? When I grow up, I hope I can be like you. (sigh) :-)
Anyway, have a marvelous spring, filled with many flowers like the one pictured. Enjoy them for me. I won't see many of them this spring in Kazakhstan.
